The speakers:

Mr Konstantinos Arvanitis (male) is the Business Development Manager of WATT+VOLT S.A. Konstantinos holds an MSc Eng in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of Xanthi and an MBA from the University of Macedonia Thessaloniki. Konstantinos is producing innovative business models ready to deploy, matching the IoT technologies with the real market needs. He served as the Impact Director and the Communication and Dissemination Leader during the enCOMPASS H2020 project. Konstantinos is an executive member of the DELTA H2020 EU Project advisory board and he is the PRECEPT EU project Coordinator.

Dr Venizelos Efthymiou worked for Electricity Authority through various posts including Executive Manager Networks / Distribution System Operator of Cyprus from 1979 to 2013. He is serving the Steering Committee of ETIP SNET, ETIP PV, SET-Plan and Horizon 2020 Programme Committee. He is the Chairman of the FOSS Research Centre for sustainable energy at the University of Cyprus and Cigre Cyprus.

Mr. Athanasios Tryferidis is a Senior Research Assistant in Information Technologies Institute of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas in Thessaloniki (CERTH/ITI). He is the Technical Manager of the inteGRIDy project and has a long experience in project and technical management of several European projects. He has a Diploma of Electrical and Computer Engineering and an MSc in Information Systems, currently focusing on technologies around Smart Grids and innovative Demand Response Flexibility programs, integrated systems with the use of multi-sensorial topologies and IoT infrastructures, focusing on IoT interoperability based on semantics. He has further been involved in energy efficiency optimisation, occupancy detection and prediction algorithms, semantics and visual analytics.

Dr. Paschalis Gkaidatzis is a research associate with the Information Technologies Institute of Centre for Research and Technology Hellas in Thessaloniki, Greece (ITI-CERTH). He is currently participating in the inteGRIDy project activities on behalf of ITI-CERTH. He holds a diploma in electrical and computer engineering and a Ph.D. in Distributed Generation optimization. His current research interest revolves around Demand-Side Management, Energy Storage Technologies, Distributed Generation and their optimized integration in the Distribution Network.
